discovering the beauty of the world through photography
I recently bought myself a fantastic Fstop bag from a top bloke named Rod Thomas. This thing is awesome. I have never had something change the way I look at other products like this thing. I had a Lowepro Vertex 200AW bag and unitl i laid my grubby hands on this new Fstop Tilopa BC, i thought the Lowepro was as good as a bag got. Now i look at like its a dinosaur, heavy, bulk, combersom to use. Dont get me wrong, its a fantastic bag, but it got me thinking a bit more about how i chose my gear from now on.
I was laying in bed the other night, not long after i got the bag, and the old saying popped into my head, "do i right the first time". I know its probably a lesson that is learnt over time but non the less, a lesson learnt. Of course other contributing factors come into play when purchasing new equipment, price and buget, brand preference, the list goes on, but in the end, I want to be happy with what i bought and not have to keep buying bits and pieces. It is nice to have a new toy but ... money doesnt grow on trees.
If you want to have a look at these Fstop bags, and i highly recommend you do, check out their website, and also "like" the Fstop AUS distributor facebook page. I bought the Fstop Tilopa BC (back Country) with what Fstop call an ICU (Internal Camera Unit) in a medium and large size. With all my gear in it, there is still room for probably a days worth of clothing, tripod strapped to the side or front, and much more. Fstop get their ideas for design from photographers, so their bags are top notch quality and well though out design. If you want one, give me a call on 0422065483 and i can organise a bag for you or jump on facebook and tell Rod Thomas that Daniel Simms sent you.
thank you for the heads up on these.
I wasn't aware of them. Definitely one for the wish list as the pile of photographic gear grows.
Would these bags hold a Sigma 500mm lens in them also?
Its just im looking for a bag that can hold all my lenses and 2 camera bodies, I found one that could http://www.tamrac.com/5588.htm so interested in if the fstop bag does?
I have got my eye on one of these bags; after having had it for a while now, do you still think it fits the bill?
I will try to give you a call next week to discuss.
