Comment by Ian Wallace on August 16, 2011 at 22:15 HI all,
i think the categories may be a little rubbery and we will certainly refine this over time - its just really to get a feel for where our strengths and weaknesses are
regarding style of images - i would like to see what people have to offer before people make any form of self selection. regarding HDR, artistic, detail, macro and non conventional images - lets put it all out there and in the process of selection we will decide the direction the images will take.
sorry to be a little quiet - anticlimactic - Im trying to get the website finished in anticipation of uploads
;-)i love it that you guys are talking specifics already - well done - looking forward to seeing the images
the categories were taken from the way that most of the tourism sites are set up and i think that this will be a good angle if we want to sell to tourists
;-)

Nick...i thought about a breakdown similar to what you said.....essentially I will be submitting what is basically already uploaded to the site, plus a few more perhaps, and they are a fairly broad spectrum. (I guess i'll give the selection panel a headache!!) I will need to resize/pixels/dpi etc etc first though.
Ian.....black and whites ???
Comment by Ian Wallace on August 17, 2011 at 8:58 yep B&W should be included
;-)
Comment by Wendy How on August 17, 2011 at 10:58 I think the hardest thing is to choose which photos are the most suitable. How many photos are we each looking at submitting?
Ian...with regard to the sizing specs (800 px X 72 dpi etc), is this for a selection process viewing, or will these specs be the book requirements? Do we send them to you as the "original size" via emails, or do we break them down (eg: 800 X 600) for computer screen viewing?
(this is quite possibly the dumbest query of all time!)
