discovering the beauty of the world through photography
This is a page to celebrate the creation of our book!
A few months ago, I pitched the idea of creating a landscape photography book to a bunch of contributors. We started with a short list of 39, lost a few along the way and ended up with 12 brave photographers (and a very tired project manager!!)
We have spent the past few months, locked away in our private group, discussing and designing the various aspects of our book, tweaking layout text and design.
We employed a travel writer and editor, who have carefully applied their skills to our project and created a themed journey through our Tasmanian images.
As part of the strategy behind the book, each contributor has 100 copies of their book to sell. I will list the contributors below and encourage you to purchase your copy through them.
"Tasmania is an island of inspiration; you are never more than a few hours from its jagged peaks, white sand beaches or dense wilderness. It’s a perfect palette for photographers to apply their craft.
This book represents the works of a community of photographers, each with their own unique perspective and interpretation of this Island State. The creation of this book has been a journey, a visual journey; I encourage you to take this journey with us."

Once this project is done and dusted - we should think about a second book and perhaps another state?

About our marketing, I'm not sure how to 'get the word out'. I don't have a website and it sounds like facebook is limited. Is there a way to develop the book into a flash or mpeg file (or something????) so we can email it around?
