Well i must admit I’m surprised at just how many people are sharing, commenting and contributing to the site.

I have let a few people know about it but now friends of friends are joining and I’m seeing images that are amazing, beautiful, challenging and above all REAL!

I think that particularly with award based professional photography images can tend to get a very typical look and feel - we used to call it the APPA filter (Australian Institute of Professional Photography) Amazing captures were produced to have a very similar bunch of post-production features - heavy vignettes, duotone landscapes, illustration HRD effects.

They are all beautiful and look amazing - but what i like about this site is the fact that people are sending in REAL landscapes and they are being commented on, praised and suggestions are being made.

So this is a post to thank my small band of 18 photographers who have so far made this site what it is today.

I’m just about to invite a bunch of people from my mailing list so fingers crossed we get a few more people - the more people, the more images and obviously the more dynamic the experience.

Anyone who has joined needs to make sure that they tell others where they can see more of their individual images and just to make things less cyber ager - upload an image of yourself.
